Riichi Mahjong Cheat Sheet
Every yaku with its han value, the points you'll see most, fu and dora at a glance. Fits on two printed pages.
Winning
- 14 tiles: 4 sets + 1 pair, or 7 pairs, or 13 orphans.
- Must have at least one yaku. Dora don't count.
- Tsumo: win on your draw; all pay. Ron: win on a discard; discarder pays.
- Furiten: a wait in your own discards = no ron, tsumo only.
- Riichi: closed tenpai, 1,000 points, 4+ tiles in the wall.
Calls
- Chi: sequence, from the player on your left only.
- Pon: triplet, from anyone. Beats chi.
- Kan: four of a kind. Draw a replacement, new dora.
- Ron beats pon beats chi. Calling opens your hand.

- Triplet: open 2 / closed 4; ×2 for 1, 9, honors; ×4 for a kan.
- Round up to 10. Seven pairs = 25. Pinfu tsumo = 20.
