How Chiitoitsu works
The hand is seven pairs, each a different tile. It's one of only two winning shapes that break the usual four-sets-and-a-pair rule.
It's always scored at exactly 25 fu.

Good to know
- Four of the same tile doesn't count as two pairs.
- Always a single-tile wait. Honors and tiles already discarded by others make good waits.
- Stacks with riichi, tsumo, tanyao, honitsu, chinitsu and honroutou.
- If the tiles also form ryanpeikou, the hand is scored as ryanpeikou since that's worth more.
TipWhen you start with five or more pairs and few sequences, seven pairs is often the quickest route.
