Riichi Mahjong Hand Calculator

Tap in a winning hand and get its yaku, han, fu and exact payout. It runs on the same scoring engine as the Mahjong Sushi game, with Mahjong Soul rules.

How to use it

  1. Tap the 14 tiles of your hand. The last tile you add is the winning tile, which matters for fu and for yaku like pinfu.
  2. If you called tiles, switch to + Chi, + Pon or + Kan and tap the called tile. Each call counts as 3 of the 14.
  3. Pick ron or tsumo, your seat wind and the round wind. East seat is the dealer.
  4. Add dora indicators (the tile shown on the wall, not the dora itself), riichi and any special situations.

With 13 tiles in, the calculator shows your waits instead. Tap a tile in your hand to take it out. The address bar updates as you go, so you can bookmark or share any hand.

What it counts

Every yaku and yakuman in the yaku list, double yakuman, fu down to the wait and the value pair, dora, red fives and ura dora. When a hand can be read more than one way, it scores the reading worth the most, as the rules require. Totals leave out honba and riichi sticks on the table. See the scoring guide for how the numbers are built.
